Nuria López García (Albacete, 2002) began her training at the Conservatorio Tomás de Torrejón y Velasco, earning the highest honors in Guitar and the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Prize of Castilla-La Mancha. She continued her musical education in Córdoba with Javier Riba and, since 2020, has been living in San Sebastián, pursuing Guitar studies with Marco Socías and Composition with Gabriel Erkoreka, Ramón Lazkano, Zuriñe F. Gerenabarrena and Stefano Scarani at Musikene (Higher School of Music of the Basque Country).

Composer
Her music has been performed at prestigious festivals such as the XV Circuito de Música Contemporánea Musikagileak and in renowned venues such as Tabakalera International Centre for Contemporary Culture, San Telmo Museum or Bled Festival Hall. In addition, she has collaborated with distinguished performers such as Ruben Mattia Santorsa, Adrian Pereyra, Pilar Fontalba, Ander Tellería, Estíbaliz Oraá, and Joan Martí-Frasquier, among others.
She has also been involved in the creation of interdisciplinary projects in collaboration with institutions such as the Chillida Leku Museum, for the development of a sculptural-musical walk based on works by the sculptor, and the Zirkuss company, for the composition of original music for two acts of a contemporary circus performance. Moreover, she has composed the soundtracks for the short films Mal asunto morirse en febrero, directed by Elisa Pardo, and Faustina. Salda Badago, directed by Sergio Rojo Osa.
In 2024, she was a finalist and in 2025 she was awarded the IV Teatro de la Zarzuela Composition Prize.
This same year, she has been selected as a composer and guitarist to take part in the precept.concept.percept artistic residency, which will culminate in several concerts at the .abeceda Contemporary Music Festival in Bled, Slovenia, at the end of June; as well as at the Académie de musiques transculturelles of the Fondation Royaumont (Paris, France).

Additionally, as a performer, she has taken part in the 2020 Albacete International Guitar Festival, Special Edition: “Young Guitar at the Museum” with the duo À corde, in the recording of the CD El sonido del Alma with the Albacete Guitar Orchestra (2021), and was awarded third prize at the 1st “Women Composers” Performance Competition held by the Rafael Orozco Conservatory of Music (2021).
In 2022, she performed as a member of a guitar quartet in a tribute concert to Aita Madina, within the El legado de nuestros compositores series organized by Musikene, alongside June Agirre, Pablo Garayoa, and Marco Socías. In 2025, she was selected as a soloist to participate in the Armonías de la Esperanza concert series at the Cruces Hospital (Barakaldo, Bilbao), organized by ESAS, aimed at connecting art with social and healthcare realities and highlighting the work of women in classical music.
To complement her training, she has attended composition courses led by Raquel García Tomás, Toshio Hosokawa, James Dillon, Patricia Alessandrini, Luis Codera Puzo, Hannah Hartman, Joan Magrané, George Benjamin, Chaya Czernowin, Pierre Jodlowski, Michael Jarrell, Luis Naón, Alberto Posadas, and Mauro Lanza.
Additionally, she has participated in guitar masterclasses with Marco Smaili, David Russell, Margarita Escarpa, David Martínez, Pedro Mateo González, Franz Halász, and Miguel Trápaga.
